El gesto decolonial responde de manera fenomenológica la relación  modernidad-colonialidad a través del gesto antropófago y (no por ello menos) seductor de la filosofa-feminista-decolonial-caribeña, Yuderkys Espinosa Miñoso. El gesto alude provocativamente a un canibalismo filosófico inmanente al sujeto cimarrón que, siendo producto de la herida colonial, y en acto de autoafirmación, confronta, sin necesariamente proponérselo, los modos y las normas de la buena educación y el comportamiento civilizado tal como lo impone la modernidad. Así, en su efecto, el gesto impugna y cuestiona la domesticación a la que ha sido conferidx el sujeto que lo porta. Pero más aun: es una celebración de los mundos que se suponen extinguidos.

The decolonial gesture responds in a phenomenological way to the modernity-coloniality relation through the anthropophagous and (not less) seductive gesture of the feminist-decolonial-Caribbean philosopher, Yuderkys Espinosa Miñoso. The gesture provocatively alludes to a philosophical cannibalism immanent to the maroon subject who, being a product of the colonial wound, and in an act of self-affirmation, confronts, without necessarily intending to, the modes and norms of good education and civilized behavior as imposed by modernity. Thus, in its effect, the gesture contests and questions the domestication to which the subject that carries it has been conferred. But even more: it is a celebration of worlds that are supposed to be extinct.
